In professional wrestling’s treasured chronicles, only a few friendships endure as long as that of The Undertaker and The Godfather. These two WWE Hall of Famers, who are also popular members of the legendary Bone Street Krew, have a bond that goes back to their early wrestling days in territories replete with many unique and, at times, eccentric experiences.
Their camaraderie tales were narrated on a recent episode of “Six Feet Under,” the Undertaker’s podcast. They took a walk down memory lane discussing, among other things, an unforgettable road trip from Nashville to Memphis accompanied by Dirty White Boy and Dirty White Girl, fellow wrestlers.
Sadly for them, they had embarked on this journey during one of the worst snowstorms ever resulting in the cancellation of their show. After having supper together, they faced the dreadful weather while going back to Nashville.
It was the worst storm I’ve ever seen,” said The Undertaker sadly. However, it took another twist about 50 miles remaining into their journey. As soon as they did that, however, things quickly got out of hand; The Godfather relieved him and took over behind the wheel.
“I take off. I went at least 10 yards, and then I think I had to swerve to miss hitting a deer or something,” stated The Godfather, recalling his memories about that moment when he saved another life apart from those in his car.
He told how he turned suddenly so that it caused his car to spin uncontrollably again”. Thank god for me saving that deer’s life because if not for that and also because we spun around like crazy, I tried correcting it you know, oversteering somehow, we ended up inside of there”.
Differing Road Trip Tales
The situation had been slightly different though according to The Undertaker: “There wasn’t any deer”, he clarified laughing,” Absolutely no deer whatsoever! As you would see in movies, we’re just hanging over between the road and ditch literally; the front right tire was not touching the ground.
I had to exit through the driver’s side just to ensure that the car didn’t flip into the ditch”. But this is not how The Undertaker remembers the incident. “I laughed at him, but I said no, there was no deer,” he clarified, laughing.
“There was absolutely no deer out there, man. It was like a movie scene where we were hanging on between the road and a ditch literally; the front right tire was not touching the ground; it is what it is. So, I had to get out of there through my driver’s door so that this thing wouldn’t flip in it”.
